Durham police are asking the public for information after a man walked into Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital early Thursday morning with a gunshot wound.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on January 29, 2026, when officers were called to the hospital’s emergency department.
The victim was transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he remains in stable condition.
