Metrolinx has announced GO train refunds for Toronto derailment passengers affected by the February 2, 2026, incident at Union Station. A GO train derailment in Toronto led to delays for passengers, including those traveling to Oshawa. Refunds will be automatically processed for customers who traveled on GO train routes on February 2, February 3, and select trips on February 4, 2026.
The refunds will be applied to passengers’ PRESTO accounts and issued via the same payment method used to tap on. For PRESTO cards, the refund will appear the next time the card is tapped. For digital payments, refunds will arrive within 5 to 10 business days.
