On Saturday, December 20, 2025, around 10:00 p.m., Durham Regional Police observed a vehicle appearing to avoid a RIDE check in Newcastle. The vehicle was later found abandoned at a Clarington Fire Station parking lot.
With assistance from AIR1, officers located the driver fleeing on foot through a field and took him into custody without incident.
During the search, police recovered the suspect’s car keys and a quantity of cocaine.
Charges:
- Obstruction of Justice
- Possession of Schedule I Substance (cocaine)
- Have Cannabis Readily Available
- Driving While Under Suspension
- Breach of Probation
Suspect: Enrique Scott Williamson, 26, of St. Catharines.
