Pickering Remembrance Day observances will bring residents to Esplanade Park on Wednesday, November 11, with the annual gathering beginning at 10:45 a.m.

The City of Pickering identifies Royal Canadian Legion Bay Ridges Branch 606 as the host. Current city information confirms the 2026 date, venue and start time.

According to November 8 reporting by Metroland, the parade starts near the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, crosses Valley Farm Road and continues through Esplanade Park to the cenotaph. The service includes the laying of wreaths.

The city says flags at municipal facilities will be lowered to half-mast for Remembrance Day. After the Poppy flag is lowered on November 11, the Veterans flag will remain displayed at the cenotaph until sunset on November 30.

Residents planning to attend should check the city and Legion for any last-minute changes. The confirmed gathering time is 10:45 a.m.; no separate road-closure schedule or parking arrangement is asserted here.
