Old Scugog Road's Christmas lights are a neighbourhood tradition, not a ticketed attraction. Durham Tourism lists the display season as December 1 to 31, starting near Andelwood Court in Bowmanville.
The appeal comes from residents decorating their homes and properties with elaborate seasonal displays. Because this is a residential road, visitors should respect driveways, private property and normal traffic access. Individual homeowners control their own lights, so there is no verified common opening or closing time.
Use the seasonal listing as a guide to the area, not a guarantee that every property is illuminated on every visit.
