Pickering bus stop 1787 will move permanently to a new position just west of its existing location on Monday, October 26, Durham Region Transit says.
The stop is identified by DRT as Kingston Eastbound at Valley Farm. The change takes effect at 6 a.m., according to the transit agency’s October 23 service notice.
Five services listed in the notice
DRT lists Pulse 900, 916, 920, 921 and N1 as the routes affected by the stop move. Customers using those services at this location should look for the replacement boarding point west of the present stop.
The announcement describes a permanent relocation, not a temporary stop closure or a cancellation of those routes. It does not give a distance in metres between the old and new positions.
Check the boarding location before travelling
Riders who regularly use Pickering bus stop 1787 should allow time to identify the new location when the change takes effect. The official DRT notice is the source for the effective time, direction of travel and listed routes.
This change is distinct from the recent relocation of stop 1594 in Ajax. The October 23 announcement concerns the eastbound Kingston Road stop at Valley Farm in Pickering.
