Uxbridge Fantasy of Lights organizers are looking for volunteers to help prepare Elgin Park for the annual holiday display.
Durham Radio News reported on October 21 that the Optimist Club of Uxbridge needs daytime help putting up the lights. The club’s official event page also invites prospective volunteers to get involved.
The setup appeal comes ahead of the 2026 display, which the club lists for December 5 through January 2, 2027, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. nightly.
How to get involved
The organizer’s Fantasy of Lights page gives uxlightsvolunteer@gmail.com as the contact for people interested in volunteering. Residents can use that official contact to ask about current tasks, scheduling and arrangements before attending.
Durham Radio News also reports a volunteer open house at Uxbridge Public Library on Thursday, November 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. Prospective helpers should confirm those arrangements with the club; that meeting is reported by the newsroom but is not listed on the official event page reviewed for this article.
December display at Elgin Park
The club says Uxbridge Fantasy of Lights will again offer both a drive-through route and the Fantasy Trail walking option. Entry is free and advance booking is not required.
Donations are optional and support local youth initiatives. The organizer directs visitors to enter from Elgin Park Drive and says the display will operate on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well.
This October appeal concerns preparing the event, not an announcement that the lights are already open to visitors.
