Uxbridge football fans have two local school games to follow on Friday, October 16, when Uxbridge Secondary School hosts Brooklin in a junior and senior doubleheader.
The official Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletics football schedule lists the junior varsity game at 4:30 p.m. and the senior varsity game at 6:30 p.m. Both are scheduled for Uxbridge Secondary School.
The Uxbridge Cosmos describes the evening as the Tigers’ Friday Night Lights Homecoming event. Its October 14 report comes as the Uxbridge teams look to turn around a difficult start to their season.
Two games on the same evening
The junior contest opens the programme, with the senior teams following two hours later. Brooklin is listed as the visiting team in both matchups on the league’s official schedule.
The doubleheader brings together teams from two Durham communities and gives local supporters an opportunity to see both levels of secondary-school football in one evening.
This preview uses the league’s confirmed fixtures. It does not repeat an uncorroborated exhibition-game score from the newspaper account, and no admission price has been announced in the sources reviewed.
