Some residents will see Whitby waste collection day changes starting later this spring as the town updates its service boundaries.
In a recent public notice, the Town of Whitby said the changes are being made to keep waste collection services efficient and reliable as the community continues to grow. The updated boundaries will affect select households, primarily in Brooklin and West Whitby.
The new collection schedule will take effect March 23. Town officials are encouraging residents to confirm whether their pickup day is changing by checking the online waste collection tool.
No other changes to waste services have been announced at this time. The town thanked residents for their cooperation as the updated schedule is implemented.
