Whitby official results have now been certified by the Town Clerk, confirming Elizabeth Roy as mayor and the council representatives elected for the 2026–2030 term.
The Town announced the certification on October 27, following the October 26 municipal election. It is a substantive change from the preliminary election-night count: the municipality is now describing the outcome as official.
Regional and ward representatives confirmed
Rhonda Mulcahy is the regional councillor for North Ward 1, Deidre Newman for West Ward 2, Niki Lundquist for Centre Ward 3 and Steve Yamada for East Ward 4.
The town councillors are Jay White in North Ward 1, Matt Cardwell in West Ward 2, Bob Baker in Centre Ward 3 and Victoria Bozinovski in East Ward 4. The municipal announcement lists all nine members, including the mayor.
New term begins November 16
The 2026–2030 term begins November 16. Whitby says its inaugural council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. that day.
Residents can consult the Town’s election results page for the full ballot, including school-board trustee offices. This report focuses on the certified council membership rather than repeating every preliminary vote total.
The Town’s certification release contains an apparent inconsistency in its elector and turnout wording. Those figures are not repeated here; the confirmed council list and term dates are stated directly in the municipal notice.
Whitby official results follow the earlier unofficial tally reported by All About Durham. Certification is the new development in this follow-up; it does not imply a different mayoral winner.
