Whitby curlers representing Ontario, led by skip Hailey Armstrong, are in playoff contention at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga. With an impressive 5-2 record, Armstrong’s rink, including vice-skip/third Grace Lloyd, second Michaela Robert, lead Rachel Steele, alternate Lori Eddy, and coach Stephen Robert, has played exceptionally well. They are now set to face Nova Scotia’s Team Taylour Stevens at 2 p.m. today, with a spot in the Pool A playoffs on the line.
The Whitby curlers earned a well-fought 8-4 victory over Saskatchewan’s Team Jolene Campbell, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Manitoba’s Kaitlyn Lawes and Canada’s Kerri Einarson have already secured playoff spots, but Armstrong’s team is focused on winning this crucial match.
