Durham Regional Police have taken a man and a woman into custody following a stolen vehicle investigation in Pickering that led to the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles.
Police said that in late December, investigators received information indicating a stolen vehicle was located on a residential property in Pickering. Officers from the West Division Criminal Investigations Branch, Auto Theft Unit, and Community Response Unit executed a search warrant at the location.
During the search, police located several stolen and re-vinned vehicles. A male and female suspect were arrested without incident.
A 50-year-old man from Pickering and a 44-year-old woman were later released on an undertaking. Police stated that the names of the accused and additional details are available through the Durham Regional Police Service.
