Residents and visitors in Durham Region can celebrate maple season at the Pefferlaw Creek Farms Maple Syrup Festival in Uxbridge, where guests are invited to explore the farm, enjoy traditional maple treats, and experience the sights and sounds of the sugar bush.
The festival takes place at Pefferlaw Creek Farms, located at 12300 Concession 6 in Uxbridge, and offers a variety of family-friendly activities that highlight the process of making maple syrup while celebrating local food and farming traditions.
Visitors attending the Pefferlaw Creek Farms Maple Syrup Festival in Uxbridge can participate in guided tapping tours and sugar shack tours, where they will learn how maple sap is collected and transformed into fresh maple syrup. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample maple syrup and enjoy maple taffy, a popular seasonal treat made by pouring hot syrup over snow.
The festival also includes hiking through the farm’s sugar bush, giving visitors a chance to explore the natural surroundings while learning about the maple harvesting process.
One of the highlights of the event is a pancake meal served with local farmers’ sausages and unlimited maple syrup. The pancakes are made using a family recipe prepared with whole food ingredients, while the pork sausages are sourced weekly from Willowtree Farm, supporting local agriculture.

Admission to the festival is free for children under 12, while visitors aged 13 and older pay $10 per person.
