Snow removal operations will result in Orono snow removal street closures overnight in the downtown area, according to the Municipality of Clarington.
Municipal crews will be clearing excess snow from downtown Orono to help keep streets and sidewalks safe and accessible for residents and businesses.
“While our crews will do their best to minimize disruption, you may hear noise from snow-clearing equipment during these times,” the municipality said in a release issued Feb. 2. “We appreciate your support and understanding while this work takes place.”
As part of the Orono snow removal street closures, Main Street will be closed between Station Street and Mill Street starting at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Additional nearby side streets may also be cleared if time permits.
All affected roads are scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Residents are reminded to avoid overnight parking in the closure areas. Vehicles left during snow-clearing operations may be ticketed or towed.
