A search is underway in Whitby for a missing girl in Whitby after Durham police reported that a 14-year-old has not been seen since Monday afternoon.
Police say Alana, whose surname has not been released, was last seen around 4 p.m. near Dundas Street East and Anderson Street. She has been described by investigators as vulnerable, prompting concern for her safety.
Alana is described as five feet seven inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with black hair. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a grey sweater, navy blue pyjama pants, and brown winter boots, and was carrying a black handbag.
Durham Regional Police are asking anyone who may have seen Alana or has information about her whereabouts to contact police immediately.
