Durham Regional Police are asking for the public’s help to find missing Ajax woman Sumaiya, 25, who was last seen near Harwood Road North and Rossland Road.
Police said Sumaiya was last seen at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 19. Investigators described her as a woman with a heavy build.
Police concerned for Sumaiya’s safety
Sumaiya was wearing a blue T-shirt, green pants and pink Crocs when she was last seen, according to the police appeal.
The public notice did not provide her height, hair colour or direction of travel. Police also did not say whether she may be travelling on foot, by vehicle or on public transit. Those details should not be assumed or inferred.
Durham police said they are concerned for her safety. Anyone who has seen Sumaiya or has information that could help officers locate her is asked to contact the Durham Regional Police Service at 905-579-1520, extension 1905.
Information involving an immediate threat to anyone’s safety should be reported through 911.
