A home explosion in Oshawa, located in Durham Region, is currently under investigation after a powerful blast rocked a residential area on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The explosion occurred around 10:00 PM in the vicinity of Gibbons Street and Annapolis Avenue. Photojournalist Colin Williamson confirmed reports of the suspects leaving the area shortly after the explosion, further fueling the theory that the incident may have been a criminal act. Authorities are particularly interested in obtaining cell phone footage, dash cam footage, or surveillance footage from anyone in the area at the time of the explosion.
