The Highway 12 Sunderland closure affected both directions north of the community on Tuesday morning, October 27, after a collision.
Ontario 511 listed all northbound lanes closed between Brock Township 11th Line and Durham Road 12. A separate southbound entry listed all lanes closed between Durham Road 12 and Brock Township 11th Line.
The provincial entries were timestamped 7:18 a.m. northbound and 7:19 a.m. southbound. Both remained on the live incident list when it was checked during the morning news scan.
Three vehicles reported involved
Ontario Provincial Police’s GTA Traffic account confirmed that three vehicles were involved and injuries were being assessed. DurhamRegion.com’s 8 a.m. report said police advised the public of the crash and closure online around 7:20 a.m., without specifying when the collision occurred.
No confirmed injury total, cause or reopening time was available in the information checked for this report. Drivers should avoid the affected stretch, follow posted directions and consult Ontario 511 before travelling.
This Highway 12 Sunderland closure concerns the October 27 morning incident. It should not be confused with the separate fatal collision reported in Brock Township over the preceding weekend.
