Halloween at the Harbour returns to Oshawa Museum on Saturday, October 24, with an evening programme spread across its historic houses at Lakeview Park.
The museum’s official listing confirms the event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. An October 22 DurhamRegion.com report also details the family activities, science displays and Victorian-themed mysteries.
Different activities in each house
Guy House will offer family activities, including decorating a museum trick-or-treat bag, collecting goodies and face painting.
Robinson House will feature an interactive science display with Derek Cutting, looking at how animals including bats, snakes, dogs and spiders experience the dark. The museum also lists hands-on activities and games in its parks exhibit.
Henry House will provide a more atmospheric experience through a dimly lit Victorian home. The programme covers subjects such as historical medicine, dolls and ghost stories, so families can choose which parts suit their children.
Admission and location
The museum lists admission at $7.50 per person, or $5 for guests younger than five. Oshawa Historical Society members attend free. Its October event listing also identifies free admission for children under two.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Residents should consult the museum’s official ticket information for any conditions, availability or later changes.
Oshawa Museum is at 1450 Simcoe Street South in Lakeview Park. Its buildings provide the setting for the Halloween at the Harbour programme, combining seasonal activities with the site’s historical character.
This event is separate from the City’s earlier Halloween Boo Bash. The October 24 museum programme has its own organizer, location, schedule and admission arrangements.
