The Durham Region weather Jan 17 forecast calls for flurries, gusty winds, and colder temperatures as winter conditions continue across southern Ontario.
Environment Canada reports mostly cloudy skies Saturday morning, with a 40 to 60 per cent chance of flurries in Oshawa and other parts of Durham Region. Similar conditions are expected across Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and Hamilton.
Daytime highs in southern Ontario will reach around 1°C, but strong southwest winds of 30 km/h, with gusts up to 60 km/h, will make it feel closer to –8°C in the morning.
While Durham Region is not expected to receive heavy snowfall, other parts of the province — including the Bruce Peninsula, Manitoulin Island, and areas east of Georgian Bay — could see lake-effect snow and snow squalls, with localized totals of 10 to 20 centimetres.
Saturday evening in Durham Region will remain mostly cloudy, with a 30 per cent chance of flurries and wind gusts reaching 40 km/h. Overnight lows will drop to –13°C, feeling closer to –20°C due to wind chill.
Looking ahead to Sunday, cloudy conditions will persist in Durham Region, with a chance of flurries later in the day. Highs are expected near –6°C, with overnight lows around –11°C.
