Residents attempting to contact the Region of Durham may experience temporary service disruptions as the municipality upgrades its phone system.
Regional officials say the Durham Region phone system upgrade is being carried out to improve customer service and long-term reliability. During the transition, some callers may have difficulty reaching Service Durham, including inquiries related to water billing.
The region is advising residents who are unable to get through by phone to try again on the next business day. Online services remain available, allowing customers to review and pay their water bills without interruption.
Officials apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience while the system improvements are completed.
