Durham Regional Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating four suspects involved in a robbery at the Tu Despensa Latin market in Ajax on January 15, 2026. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m., when the suspects entered the store located on Kingston Road and proceeded to distract the employees while one of the suspects stole cash from behind the counter.
The suspects quickly fled the scene after the theft, and Durham Regional Police are actively working to identify them. The investigation has revealed the following descriptions of the four individuals involved in the robbery:
- Suspect 1: A white male, approximately 30 years old, 5’8” in height, with a large build. He was wearing a grey toque, black winter coat, black pants, and black shoes.
- Suspect 2: A white male, approximately 35 years old, 6 feet tall, with a large build. He was wearing a black winter coat, black shirt, and blue jeans.
- Suspect 3: A white male, approximately 25 years old, 5’8” in height, with a thin build. He was wearing a black winter coat and a grey shirt.
- Suspect 4: A white male, approximately 30 years old, 5’10” tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark coloured/red baseball hat, black winter coat, black jeans, and black shoes.
Police believe the suspects may have been involved in other similar incidents and are seeking assistance from the public to help track them down. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or has any information about the suspects to come forward. Cellphone, dash cam, or surveillance footage from the area on January 15 could be crucial to solving the case.
