A DRPS online threat targeting youth has prompted Durham Regional Police to issue a public safety warning to families across the region. Police say an online predatory network known as “The Com” has been targeting children and teens through popular online platforms. The warning follows several incidents at William Dunbar Public School in Pickering, including written threats, the discovery of ammunition, and a reported threat that led to a school lockdown. Police are urging parents and guardians to closely monitor their children’s online activity and report any concerning behaviour.
