Durham Region has announced Clarington lane restrictions on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) due to ongoing road reconstruction work. The project, expected to last until summer 2026, will result in lane restrictions from east of Townline Road to west of Enfield Road (Regional Road 34).
Although the Clarington lane restrictions may cause some disruptions, the Region is committed to completing the work as efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution around the construction zone for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
Access to residential driveways will be maintained wherever possible, and residents will be notified if their vehicles need to be moved. The Region is also aware of the potential impacts on businesses in the area, which will remain open during the construction period.
