Clarington Civic Holiday closures will affect municipal offices, libraries, recreation facilities and other public services on Monday, August 3, 2026.
Most municipal buildings will close for the holiday, but residents will still be able to visit Courtice Community Complex and Orono Park Pool during reduced operating hours.
Municipal recreation centres will remain open for their regularly scheduled programs on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2.
Recreation Facilities Open Monday
Courtice Community Complex will open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Civic Holiday Monday.
The facility is located at 2950 Courtice Road North. Available programs and amenities may follow a modified holiday schedule, so visitors should confirm specific activities before attending.
Orono Park Pool will also be open from noon to 5 p.m.
The outdoor pool is located at 61 Princess Street in Orono and provides residents with an option to cool off during the holiday.
Weather, staffing or operational issues may affect outdoor-pool schedules. Swimmers should check the municipality’s website for any last-minute changes.
