The Bowmanville Hospital Foundation fundraising campaign marked a record-breaking year, raising more than $200,000 in support of hospital equipment purchases, facility improvements, and future redevelopment initiatives.
The funds were raised through the Foundation’s “We Care, We Can” campaign, which brought together local businesses, community organizations, and residents across Clarington. More than 50 community-led fundraising events contributed to the success of the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation fundraising efforts.
Several local initiatives played a key role, including donations from Parts 4 Less U-Pull, fundraising events hosted by the Rotary Club of Courtice, contributions from Courtice Family Dentistry, a community car wash organized by Restored Auto Detailing, and proceeds from Clarington Place Fieldgate Retirement Living’s holiday market.
Community leaders emphasized the importance of supporting local healthcare. Organizers noted that Bowmanville Hospital Foundation fundraising directly helps ensure residents have access to modern equipment, improved facilities, and high-quality patient care close to home.
Foundation officials highlighted that this milestone comes at a crucial time in the hospital’s redevelopment journey. Ongoing projects aim to expand bed capacity and introduce state-of-the-art, patient-focused facilities that will benefit Durham Region for decades to come.
The Bowmanville Hospital Foundation fundraising campaign continues this year, with organizers encouraging community members to stay involved as redevelopment plans move forward.
