An Oshawa Music Video Gun Arrest has resulted in several weapons charges after Durham Regional Police discovered loaded firearms during a late night incident in Oshawa.
Police say officers responded to an armed person call near Saguenay Avenue and Rideau Street after receiving reports that a man was seen brandishing a firearm while standing with a group of people.
When officers arrived at the location, they discovered a group of individuals filming a music video involving two vehicles.
According to investigators, officers removed everyone from the vehicles and conducted a search as part of the investigation.
During the search, police say they located two loaded handguns with magazines.
The discovery led to the Oshawa Music Video Gun Arrest, with four suspects taken into custody shortly before 3 a.m. on March 1.
Durham Regional Police confirmed that the suspects include a 19 year old man from Whitby, a 20 year old man from Clarington, a 17 year old from Pickering and a 16 year old from Oshawa.
All four individuals now face multiple weapons related charges.
Police say the charges include possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded firearm and occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm.
Investigators also laid an additional charge against the 16 year old suspect, who was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
Police say the teen had already been placed under conditions prohibiting the possession of weapons following a previous arrest earlier this year.
