A major Durham Alzheimer Society donation was announced as Vince’s Market contributed more than $34,800 to Alzheimer Societies across Durham Region, York Region, and Simcoe County.
The donation was made through Vince’s 2025 Community Product Initiative (CPI), a year-long campaign that directs 15 per cent of sales from selected grocery items toward local charities. Representatives from the Alzheimer Society Durham Region joined partners in Sharon to celebrate the milestone.
Organizers described the Durham Alzheimer Society donation as transformative, helping fund caregiver support services, education programs, and increased awareness for families affected by dementia.
Since launching the CPI program, Vince’s Market has donated more than $200,000 to community organizations, including support for the Durham Alzheimer Society donation efforts. Additional fundraising events, such as the annual community barbecue and educational cooking workshops for caregivers, further strengthened community impact.
Vince’s Market confirmed that Easter Seals Ontario will be the beneficiary of the 2026 CPI campaign, continuing the company’s commitment to community-focused giving.
The Durham Alzheimer Society donation reflects ongoing collaboration between local businesses and non-profit organizations to improve quality of life for caregivers and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease.
