Durham Regional Police have confirmed that the two boys who were reported missing in Durham Region have been located and are safe. No further details have been released at this time.
Earlier, authorities had asked for public assistance in locating Traeson, 13, from Pickering, and Jayden, 12, from Ajax. Traeson is described as Black, 5-foot-9, weighing 115 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black Carhartt toque, black Helly Hansen jacket, black Nike Tech Fleece sweater, and black Nike Tech Fleece track pants.
Jayden is described as Black, about 5-foot-4 with a small build, and was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, grey pants, black New Balance running shoes, and carrying a Sprayground backpack.
Police had not indicated whether the boys were together or how they were travelling, and the exact time and location of their disappearance were initially unknown.
Authorities thanked the public for their assistance and continue to remind residents to report any information regarding missing persons immediately.
