An Oshawa Generals comeback turned a one-goal deficit into a 5-2 road victory over the Brampton Steelheads on Friday, October 30, at the CAA Centre.
The teams’ official recaps confirm the result. Daily Durham published its account on November 1.
Five goals in the final period
Oshawa entered the third period trailing 1-0 after a scoreless second. The Generals then scored five times, with an empty-net goal completing the turnaround.
Daily Durham, citing Oshawa’s recap, identified Tyler Hinde, Ryan Hedley, Linus Funck and Jacob Therrien among the third-period scorers. Onni Kalto supplied the empty-net finish.
Road result follows early deficit
Nathan Amidovski had given Brampton the opening lead in the first period. The Steelheads protected that advantage through the second before the game changed decisively in the final frame.
Matthew Humphries was in goal for Oshawa. Daily Durham reported that he stopped 34 of 36 shots, while Brooks Rogowski finished with three points.
The victory was a separate game from Sunday’s home meeting with Ottawa and gave the Generals a successful finish to their Friday trip to Brampton.
