Whitevale roadwork will restrict access on parts of Whitevale Road and North Road in Pickering from October through December 2026.
The Whitevale Master Drainage Plan project, Q2026-25, includes storm-sewer replacement, road reconstruction and resurfacing.
Local access only during construction
Pickering says the roads will remain open to emergency vehicles, local residents and businesses only. Other drivers should expect restrictions and temporary disruptions.
Whitevale Road work runs from Whitevale Bridge to Golf Club Road. North Road work extends from Whitevale Road to about 70 metres north of Churchwin Street. Resurfacing will also take place between Altona Road and Whitevale Bridge.
The contractor is Elirpa Construction & Material Ltd.
Traffic controls planned
The city says traffic controls and construction signs will be maintained for vehicles and pedestrians. The notice gives no specific daily closure hours or precise completion date within December.
The contract was previously approved as part of Pickering drainage work. This notice adds the construction schedule and local-access restrictions, a material traffic update.
Drivers should follow posted controls and check for service updates as the Whitevale roadwork proceeds.
