Durham Regional Police are searching for five suspects following an armed robbery at a vape store in Oshawa over the weekend.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at approximately 6:20 p.m. at Vape Mart located on Wentworth Street in Oshawa. Officers were dispatched after receiving reports of an armed person call inside the store.
Investigators say five male suspects entered the vape shop, with at least one of them believed to be armed with a firearm. Police allege the suspects threatened an employee inside the store before stealing several products.
During the robbery, the suspects reportedly took merchandise from the business and quickly fled the scene after the theft. Authorities have not confirmed the total value of the stolen items.
Durham Regional Police said that although the robbery involved a weapon, the employee inside the store was not physically injured during the incident.
The case is now being investigated by members of the Durham Regional Police Auto Robbery Crime Unit, who are attempting to identify the suspects involved.
Police believe there may be witnesses or video footage that could help investigators determine what happened during the robbery.
Authorities are asking anyone who may have been in the area around Wentworth Street in Oshawa between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on March 7 to check for any video recordings that may have captured the suspects.
This includes cell phone recordings, dash cam footage from passing vehicles, or security camera footage from nearby homes or businesses.
Investigators say even small pieces of evidence could help identify the suspects and move the case forward.
