A Route 421 detour will change where Courtice riders board Durham Region Transit buses from Thursday, November 5, through Friday, November 20.
DRT’s November 4 service notice says construction on Trulls Road between Nash Road and George Reynolds Drive will send buses via Nash Road and George Reynolds Drive instead.
Five regular stops will be missed
During the detour, buses will not serve stop 94037 at Trulls northbound at Nash; stop 94041 at Trulls southbound at Nash; stop 94040 at Trulls southbound at Devondale; stop 94038 at Trulls northbound at Cecil Found; or stop 94039 at Trulls northbound at George Reynolds.
Riders who normally use those stops will need to walk to one of the temporary locations identified in the official notice.
Four temporary boarding locations
DRT lists temporary stops at Nash westbound at Trulls, west of Trulls Road, and Nash eastbound at Trulls, also west of Trulls Road.
Two more are listed on George Reynolds Drive: westbound at Trulls, east of Trulls Road, and eastbound at Trulls, west of Trulls Road.
The notice applies to Route 421. It provides a defined November 5–20 construction period, rather than an indefinite suspension of the route. Customers should check DRT’s current service alerts before travelling in case construction conditions change.
This is a different section and stop arrangement from the previously reported Route 421 detour near Avondale Drive and Sandringham Drive. Riders should use the dates and stop numbers in the new notice when planning this trip.
