Oshawa road restrictions are affecting Albert Street and are scheduled for Park Road South, Wilson Road and Adelaide Avenue East as several separate projects and events overlap.

Albert Street closed for Convergence

Albert Street is closed to through traffic between King Street East and Athol Street East until 4 p.m. Monday, September 21, for the Convergence Music and Art Festival. The City of Oshawa says through access is not available for emergency vehicles during the closure.

Park Road South work starts September 21

Daytime and overnight lane restrictions are scheduled on Park Road South from September 21 to 23. The affected section runs from Marland Avenue to about 60 metres south of Marland Avenue.

Durham Region says the restrictions are needed to investigate a broken watermain valve. Weather may affect the schedule.

Wilson and Adelaide rehabilitation continues

Lane restrictions remain in place on Wilson Road, Regional Road 35, from Olive Avenue to Adelaide Avenue East. Restrictions also affect Adelaide Avenue East, Regional Road 58, from Wilson Road to Dover Street.

The regional work is for road rehabilitation and is scheduled to continue through September 30. Drivers are being asked to slow down and watch for pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.

These restrictions add to other ongoing work in south Oshawa, including Highway 401 widening and the extended Simcoe Street South bridge closure. Routes and schedules can change, so travellers should check municipal and regional notices before departure.
