Ajax Illuminated Heart Display- A glowing new outdoor art installation is bringing warmth to winter in Ajax this month. A large illuminated heart display has been installed at Pat Bayly Square (55 Bayly Street West) for February, giving residents and visitors a picturesque backdrop while enjoying the public skating rink.
The temporary installation was created through a partnership between the Town of Ajax and Medallion Corporation and will be on display for approximately three weeks.
Mayor Shaun Collier thanked Medallion for sponsoring the installation and helping create “a unique experience for all residents and visitors.” He added that it’s a great opportunity to bring the community together to enjoy the space during winter.
Medallion will also host two special community events at Pat Bayly Square:

Saturday, February 14 | 6–9 p.m.

Monday, February 16 | 12–3 p.m.

Free hot chocolate

A photo stand offering print and digital photos
On February 16 only, families can enjoy special appearances by popular fictional characters, who will take to the ice and pose for photos with attendees.
George Espinola of Medallion said the partnership is about “creating shared moments and giving families more fun, free experiences that they can enjoy together for the month of February.”
