From June 10 to July 5, 2026, trains will operate every 15 minutes during peak tournament periods, ensuring that fans from Pickering to Oshawa can reach the matches without the stress of gridlock.

The Lakeshore East line, which serves the heart of the Durham Region, is a critical component of the World Cup transit plan. Metrolinx has announced a nearly 30 per cent increase in weekly trips compared to the previous winter season, totalling nearly 3,000 weekly journeys across the network.
