Newcomer Advisory Table Durham is seeking community volunteers with lived newcomer experience to help shape local settlement and inclusion efforts.
The Durham Local Immigration Partnership (DLIP) is inviting five residents to apply for positions on its Newcomer Advisory Table (NAT). The table provides advice and insight based on first-hand newcomer experience and supports DLIP’s mission of building welcoming and inclusive communities across Durham Region.
Successful applicants will serve a one-year term, with the option to renew.
The application deadline is February 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Members of the Newcomer Advisory Table Durham will help guide the strategic direction of DLIP and contribute to key priority areas, including:

An honorarium may be available in recognition of members’ time and expertise.
DLIP plays a vital role in coordinating community resources, supporting newcomer settlement, and fostering collaboration across Durham Region. Input from NAT members ensures that newcomer voices remain central to local planning and decision-making.
