An Oshawa Lotto Max winner is celebrating a life-changing moment after claiming $333,333.40 from a Maxmillions prize split among three winning tickets.
Kevin Bezhani of Oshawa was one of three winners who shared a $1 million Maxmillions prize from the December 19 Lotto Max draw. Each ticket holder received an equal one-third share of the prize.
The 27-year-old construction worker said Lotto Max has been his preferred game over the years. After noticing a high jackpot, he decided to purchase a ticket a decision that paid off.
Bezhani discovered his win the next day using the OLG mobile app. Initially stunned, he double-checked the results several times before sharing the news with his father, who confirmed the win on his own phone.
The Oshawa Lotto Max winner plans to put the prize toward purchasing a home, building his savings, and enjoying everyday life.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Petro-Canada location on Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
Since launching in 2009, Lotto Max players in Ontario have won nearly $10 billion, including hundreds of Maxmillions prizes. Lotto Max draws take place every Tuesday and Friday.
