A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in Ajax sent two people to hospital with minor injuries early Wednesday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say the crash happened in the eastbound lanes near Westney Road and involved several vehicles, including a tractor-trailer. The collision forced the closure of three eastbound lanes as well as the Highway 401 on-ramp at Westney Road.
Emergency crews responded quickly and transported two individuals to hospital as a precaution. Police confirmed their injuries were minor.
All lanes and ramps have since reopened, and traffic in the area has returned to normal. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
