Whitby Public Library is showcasing the artistic talents of its staff in a special exhibit, Beyond the Stacks, on display now at the Central Library.
The exhibit features paintings, mixed media pieces and personal creative projects, offering a look at the imagination and creativity that inspire library staff inside and outside the library. According to the library, many of the works were shaped through paint nights, online tutorials, artistic experimentation and a passion for lifelong learning.
Beyond the Stacks is on display throughout November at the Central Library. The library also offers display and exhibit space for local artists, schools and non-profit organizations; details are available on its Displays and Exhibits page, and the exhibit listing is on the library’s events calendar.
