The Oshawa Generals recovered from a two-goal deficit but could not hold off a late Kingston push, losing 5–2 to the Frontenacs on Friday, November 6, 2026.
The road defeat was Oshawa’s second in a row. Caden Taylor and Tyler Hinde supplied the Generals’ goals, both in the third period, before Kingston scored three times without reply.
Special teams shape the opening periods
Kingston took a 1–0 lead into the first intermission on Adam Goljer’s power-play goal. According to the Generals’ recap, the shot went over the net before taking a series of deflections off the glass, the goal and goaltender Matthew Humphries.
The Frontenacs doubled their advantage in the second period while shorthanded. Nolan Snyder set up Robin Kuzma on a two-on-one after an Oshawa turnover. Kuzma’s sixth goal of the season left the Generals trailing 2–0 after 40 minutes.
Oshawa had generated only 11 shots through those opening two periods.
A comeback that did not last
Taylor got Oshawa on the board less than a minute into the third. Brooks Rogowski forced a turnover, and Taylor finished from the faceoff-dot area for his third goal of the season.
Hinde then scored shorthanded from a Rogowski pass to make it 2–2. It was Hinde’s eighth goal and extended his point streak to seven games.
Kingston answered through Nolan Buttar, followed by Snyder on the power play and Cole Zurawski. The Generals’ recap lists eight Kingston power-play opportunities over the game.
Back home Sunday
Oshawa’s next scheduled game is at home against the Brantford Bulldogs on Sunday, November 8, at 6:05 p.m. The team will be looking to end the two-game losing run.
