An Uxbridge Remembrance concert will bring the Orpheus Symphonietta to St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Sunday, November 8, for an evening combining orchestral music and a remembrance presentation.
The event, titled Remembrance Day Memorial Concert: Remember Them, begins at 7:30 p.m. The ticket seller’s current listing confirms the date, programme and venue; DurhamRegion.com highlighted the concert in its November 6 local Remembrance Day coverage.
Haydn and Beethoven on the programme
The Orpheus Symphonietta will perform under the direction of Stu Beaudoin. The programme includes Haydn’s Symphony No. 44, known as the Mourning Symphony, and Beethoven’s Emperor concerto.
A remembrance presentation by Tish MacDonald is also listed. The announced duration is approximately one and a half hours.
Tickets and venue
The listing gives the venue as St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 59 Toronto Street South in Uxbridge. This is not a performance at Uxbridge Music Hall, which appears elsewhere among the ticket seller’s events.
General-admission tickets are $30, including the ticket fee. Children and students do not require a ticket, according to the official event listing. The seller states that tickets are not refundable or exchangeable.
