Scugog parking lot paving will temporarily restrict access to the dog park and ball diamonds at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre during the week of November 2.
The Township of Scugog announced on November 2 that asphalt replacement is planned for the east side of the parking lot, weather permitting. The paving is the next stage of a reconstruction project already underway.
Access lane must close during paving
The township says the laneway serving the dog park and ball diamonds must be closed to accommodate the work. Residents planning to use those areas should account for the restriction before travelling to the recreation centre.
The notice describes an access restriction during paving; it does not announce a closure of every recreation-centre programme or the entire facility.
Reopening update to follow
No exact reopening date or daily construction hours are given in the announcement. The township says it will communicate when access has reopened.
Because the work is weather-dependent, visitors should check the official township notice for updates rather than assume the lane will be available at a particular time. Scugog parking lot paving is expected during the stated week, but the notice does not set a guaranteed completion day.
