A Dunmoore dog park closure will keep the entire off-leash facility unavailable on Friday, October 30, while Pickering crews carry out lighting maintenance.
The City of Pickering’s October 29 notice says the work will address remaining light-fixture deficiencies. The closure is scheduled for the day of October 30, rather than a particular morning or afternoon time window.
Entire dog park affected
Residents planning a visit should make other arrangements and follow the closure signs. The city describes the affected area as the entirety of the dog park within Dunmoore Park; it does not announce a closure of every other park amenity.
The notice does not specify individual light fixtures, a detailed repair sequence or an exact reopening hour.
A new dated maintenance notice
This Dunmoore dog park closure is distinct from the earlier lighting-installation disruption reported by All About Durham, whose last published timetable extended through October 9. The new city notice establishes a one-day maintenance shutdown on October 30; it should not be read as proof that the park remained continuously closed between those dates.
For current service-disruption information, Pickering lists its service disruption line at 1-866-278-9993. Dog owners should check the city’s notice before travelling in case maintenance arrangements change.
