Thickson and Victoria Intersection Reopens in Whitby

The Thickson and Victoria intersection in Whitby has reopened following a collision investigation, Durham Regional Police confirmed in an October 24 update.

Police had earlier announced that Thickson Road South and Victoria Street East were closed in all directions while officers investigated a collision.

A subsequent post from the official police account, linked to that closure announcement, confirmed the roadway had reopened. The latest notice therefore supersedes the earlier all-direction closure warning.

The two police updates reviewed for this report do not identify the people or vehicles involved, describe any injuries or announce charges. Those details should not be inferred from the temporary road closure.
