The Durham forecast for Saturday, October 3 calls for morning fog patches followed by a mild mix of sun and cloud.
Environment and Climate Change Canada expects fog in parts of the Greater Toronto Area during the morning, including around Oshawa. The patches should clear before the afternoon as temperatures rise toward 20 C.
Mild afternoon follows morning fog
The broader southern Ontario outlook calls for daytime highs near 18 C to 20 C. The UV index is expected to reach 5, or moderate, across much of the GTA.
Drivers and people walking or cycling should be prepared for locally reduced visibility early in the day, particularly in low-lying areas. Conditions are expected to improve as the fog lifts.
Saturday night should remain mainly clear, although fog patches may redevelop overnight. Temperatures are expected to fall into the upper single digits.
Showers possible later in the weekend
The outlook turns less settled on Sunday, with a chance of showers during the day and evening. Temperatures are still expected to remain mild for early October.
The Durham forecast can change as local conditions develop. Residents planning outdoor activities should check the latest Environment and Climate Change Canada forecast before leaving.
