Residents are invited to enjoy a free community meal this summer as the Lions Club and St. Paul’s Anglican Church host a Free Community BBQ at Elgin Park in Uxbridge.
The family-friendly event is designed to bring the community together while offering a welcoming opportunity for neighbours, families, and visitors to connect over a complimentary barbecue.
The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Elgin Park Lions Food Booth, where volunteers will be serving a variety of classic barbecue favourites.
Guests can enjoy a menu that includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and bottled water, all provided free of charge while supplies last.
Organizers say the event is open to everyone in the community, making it a great opportunity for residents of all ages to gather in a relaxed outdoor setting. Whether attending with family, friends, or neighbours, the barbecue aims to celebrate community spirit and encourage local connections.
The event is being presented through a partnership between the Uxbridge Lions Club and St. Paul’s Anglican Church, two organizations that have a long history of supporting community programs and volunteer initiatives throughout Uxbridge.
Community barbecues have become a popular way for local organizations to encourage social interaction while providing an inclusive environment where residents can meet one another and enjoy an evening outdoors.
Elgin Park regularly hosts public events, celebrations, and recreational activities throughout the year, making it a popular gathering place for families and community groups.
Residents planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early, as food will be served during the scheduled event time and availability may be limited based on attendance.
The free barbecue is one of several community activities taking place throughout Uxbridge during the summer season, offering residents opportunities to enjoy local parks while participating in events organized by volunteers and community organizations.
Organizers look forward to welcoming everyone for an evening of good food, conversation, and community spirit at Elgin Park.
