It is with heavy hearts and much love that we mourn the passing of Kennith (Ken) Casler on June 3rd, 2026 after a long illness.
Missed dearly by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverley, daughter Catherine, son-in-law Chris, grandchildren Jason (Britney), Matthew (Eleni), great-grandchildren Alexander, Stavros, Christian, Matilda, and Noah. Sister Carol (Ron) and all his nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by his mother Irene, father Leland, sisters Norma, and Dorothy.
Ken dedicated over 30 years of his life to the East York Fire Department, rising through the ranks to serve as Captain. Known by his crew for his calm leadership under pressure and his sharp wit in the firehouse. Ken took immense pride in serving the East York Community.
Ken also took immense pride in his children. Early morning ventures to the skating rink or the swimming pool were the norm. Ken would do anything for his wife and kids.
No one was immune from his sharp wit and sarcasm. He was a larger-than-life character, who loved life. Ken’s other love was his pick-up and Honda gold wing trike. Many long-distance trips were taken with his wife Beverley on the trike.
