After weeks of anticipation and multiple rollovers, the $80 million Lotto Max jackpot has officially been won, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
One lucky ticket matched all seven winning numbers, securing the full jackpot. The winning ticket was sold in London, Ontario, marking a historic moment — it is only the second time ever an $80 million Lotto Max prize has been won by a single ticket, and the first time this has happened in Ontario.
In addition to the main jackpot, 11 tickets across Canada matched six out of seven numbers plus the bonus, each winning $57,612.20. Seven of those tickets were sold in Ontario, with others purchased in Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.
Another 107 tickets matched six out of seven numbers, earning $5,080.50 each.
Several Maxmillions prizes were also claimed, with Ontario seeing a strong showing. Seven Ontario tickets won $1 million Maxmillions prizes, including tickets sold in Hamilton, Toronto, Barrie, Thornhill, Niagara, Prince Edward County/Hastings, and online via OLG.ca. Additional prizes of $500,000 and $333,333 were also split among winners in Ontario and other provinces.
In the Encore draw, a ticket sold in Ajax won $1 million, while three additional Encore prizes of $100,000 were won by tickets sold in Durham Region, Grey County, and Welland.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Dec. 30 Lotto Max draw were:
05, 21, 32, 38, 43, 44, 45
Bonus: 49
Lottery officials are reminding players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back immediately if they believe they are holding a winning ticket.
