Uxbridge councillor workplace training, In a recent report presented to Uxbridge council, Chief Administrative Officer Kristi Honey recommended that Councillor Todd Snooks undergo a three-hour training session titled “Expectations in an Evolving Workplace.” This training is part of a broader initiative to address concerns regarding workplace behavior.
The recommendation comes after a report by the Integrity Commissioner, which found that Councillor Snooks’ actions towards female staff in the Township were deemed to have “harassing behavior and a lack of respect.” The findings arose from an investigation into allegations of unsolicited physical contact with Township staff.
Honey clarified that the workplace training for Snooks is not punitive but is intended to be a team development initiative. The session will be based on the Integrity Commissioner’s Statement of Work (SOW) and will aim to strengthen respectful conduct, improve communication, and reinforce professional interactions within the workplace.
“This training is intended to promote positive behavior, boost public confidence in municipal governance, and foster a healthy work environment,” said the report.
Additionally, it was suggested that this training for Councillor Snooks be incorporated into the orientation sessions for any new council members following the upcoming October municipal election.
